I think demonstration is always present in ELT, especially within the classroom. I mean, teachers are always making demonstrations to their students when they explain us something and give examples at the same time. Macola's clases could be a good example of demonstration.

Likewise, drill and practice is present in ELT as well and it could be very useful but it could turn obsolete when just some of the students learn and the others do not. Those who already learnt might feel overwhelmed and bored.

In my opinion demonstration can be boring and useless for some student due to the fact that his role most of the time is going to be passive, situation that can put them in serious disadvantage.

Here you have two extremely different methods, whereas demonstration can be interesting, drill and practice will be always tiring for students, and of course it can be boring.

I think that drill and practice is better than demostration when the group is small because for me practice is the best way of learning.
